- 1. Material was received from Dawson City in 2 shipments - 506 reels in 1978 and 26 reels in 1980. Of these 389 reels, primarily of American fiction, were transferred to Library of Congress for conversion. Reference copies of some of these reels were returned to NFTSA.

- Orange, New Jersey: Suffrage Leaders Unveil Tablet to Pioneers of Vote Crusade. Inscription commemorating Lucy Stone for protesting against taxation of women without representation is unveiled by her daughter Alice Stone Blackwell.
- Chicago: Nation's Crack Shots Seek Championship in Big Trap Meet. Trip shooters gather at Grant Park for Grand American Handicap Tournament. Each contestant fires 100 times.
- New York: Little Stranger With Zig Zag Markings Welcomed at Zoo. Children flock to Central Park to see baby zebra and its mother. Little animal is pronounced perfect specimen of its kind.
- Chicago: Mid-West Exhibitor's Visit More of the Hearst-Selig News. Theatre men inspect factory and studio and drop into seats in cafe "set" to feel sensations of actors that flit across their screens.
- Watertown, Mass: Aeroplane Propellor Sends Small Craft Racing Over Water. W.T. Reed, inventor, attaches novel engine and propellor weighing sixty pounds to row boat and sails about at speed of 12 miles per hour.
- Rockway Park, New York: 5 Year Old Performs Athletic Feats Like Full Grown Man. Sparring with his brother, "Babe" Youngtoe, said to be perfectly developed, shows prowess in special exhibition for the Hearst-Selig News Pictoral.
- Boston: Fed League Officials Inspect New Home of Boston Braves. President Gaffney of the Braves receives guests from rival league and shows them big new park being constructed for Boston Nationals.
- Newport, Rhode Island: Athletes From Ships of Atlantic Fleet Hold Field Meet. Jackies from warships gathered at Naval War College for yearly insturction hold first track meet. Men from all the ships take part.
