- 1. Material was received from Dawson City in 2 shipments - 506 reels in 1978 and 26 reels in 1980. Of these 389 reels, primarily of American fiction, were transferred to Library of Congress for conversion. Reference copies of some of these reels were returned to NFTSA.

- International Typographical Congress Opens. The Typographical Congress opens in Quebec City. Seen are the 2800 delegates from the U.S. and Canada There is a pan shot of a large group of delegates.
- Cobourg, Ontario: Record crowds attend the Canadian Pacific Railway annual picnic. Sports events shown include a men's and ladies' wheelbarrow race, a scramble for shoes in the ladies' shoe race and the men's piggyback race. Also shown is long panning shot of the crowd attending the picnic.
- Jacksonville, Florida: Ever ride a sea-cow? The beach cowboy does, but first he must capture and tame the monster with his bare hands. This shows a longshot of two men, in bathing suits, in a small boat. One jumps out and gets onto a sea cow. The man tries very hard to stay ont the animal's back. The men show the animal's flipper and snout to the camera.
- Sherbrooke, Quebec: The Sherbrooke Gun Club holds its annual shoot. Expert gunmen from various locations compete at the big trapshooting meet. There is a shot of several men and one woman, shooting at the targets in a large field. Bob Lewis of Montreal, Provincial Champion Trapshooter, loads his rifle.
- Paris, France:This story is about running an automobile with an airplane propellor. It facilitates running on rough roads and enables the motor to attain a speed of 80 miles an hour. There is a shot of two men sitting in the car, which looks like an airplane, standing at a curb. There are shots of the car from the front and rear. It has a license plate numbered 3577-WI. The driver starts the propeller. There are various shots of this odd car driving along city streets.
- Toronto, Ontario: Swimmers race across Toronto Bay! Both "mermaids" and "mermales" are contestants in this annual swim. Footage shows: women swimmers lined up on the dock; the women jumping into the water; the lake; small boats accompanying men and women swimmers; crowds awaiting their arrival; longshot of the shore, from a boat; close-up of Miss Foster, winner of the ladies' competition, still wearing a bathing suiit and cap; medium shot of two successful male contestants; medium shot of Mike Hamburg, a blind athlete who finished the course.
- Dartmouth, Nova Scotia: Dartmouth observes Natal Day, a program of water sports to celebrate the 171st anniversary of the settlement of Dartmouth. Footage shows: various boat races with two-man crews, four-man crews, etc.; and swimmers racing and arriving at the dock.
- Quebec City: Lord Byng of Vimy, the new Governor General of Canada, and his wife, Lady Byng, arrive in Canada. They arrive in Quebec City on board the SS Lady Grey, as guns of the Quebec Citadel roar in salute. Sequences include: Lord and Lady Byng on the ship's deck; greetings by federal cabinet ministers; Lord and Lady Byng moving down the gangplank and greeting various dignitaries; long high-angle shot of the welcoming cerermonies; Lord Byng on the dock, inspecting the honour guard; procession of mounted soldiers; Lord and Lady Byng in a horse-drawn carriage, arriving at the Quebec legislature (called the Parliament Buildings in the intertitle) to take the Oath of Office; Lord Byng inspecting more troops; and lboarding a car for the trip to the Citadel. Lady Byng climbs in, followed by Lord Byng. She receives a large bouquet of flowers. The vehicle moves away. <8mn>
