Description:
- Mandy, the servant girl, rejects the advances of Cy, the butler. A telegram announces to Mandy that her deceased uncle has willed her his entire fortune. Mandy becomes popular in the family where she works as the news gets around. She borrows money for clothes. Cy is jealous of other boys. The two daugthers get their boy friends to butter up Mandy in the hope of getting some of the money. Cy intervenes and gets slightly roughed-up. Mandy comes to his rescue. Another telegram arrives saying that the bequest amounted to $25.00. Mandy returns to her chores to the taunts of the family. Only Cy sticks by her. The servant girl finally accepts an engagement ring from him. Another telegram arrives with the news that a typing error had been made and the bequest wa really $250,000. The family returns to their old tricks, but a wiser Mandy spurns them and falls into the arms of her fiance, Cy. <6mn 22s>
