Description:
  • When Dore Baxter (Ruth Findlay), a country girl, asks her grandmother about the death of her parents, she is told about the evil Albert Sassoon. According to the old woman, Sassoon duped Dore's parents out of their money, caused their deaths and forced her to take Dore to live on Lost Mountain. After the grandmother relates the story, she gets up to look for the deed to the valuable mountain property, but discovers it missing and drops dead from shock. The orphan Dore leaves for the city to track down Sassoon and on the way becomes involved with a travelling performing group, falling in love with Garry Lindaberry, who is both the troupe's "angel" and a handsome millionaire. By coincidence, Sassoon invites the group to a party, and with the help of Garry and Beatrice, Sassoon's mistreated wife, Dore takes advantage of the invitation and schemes to snare Sassoon and retrieve the deed. Unhindered by the pitfalls of the city, the clever Dore then marries Garry.
