Description:
- In the preceeding episodes government plans and a locket containing chemical wafers to make the writing legible were entrusted to Captain Paine and "lost". Paine was convicted to life emprisonment. Pearl Dare, in love with Paine, discovers the secret meeting place of the Foreign Alliance. She is seen but eludes her pursuers. She boards the train taking Paine to prison. Bertha Bonn, former sweetheart of Major Brent and now an emissary of the Silent Menace, and T.O. Adams are also on the train. The train is wrecked, Paine is killed, and Pearl meets the Silent Menace. Following a struggle, the stolen plans fall into the hands of T.O. Adams.
- In this episode Pearl informs her father that Adams has the plans. Bertha Bonn who, as it follows, received the plans from Adams on orders from the Silent Menace, manages to lose them.
