Description:
  • Excerpts of a film, beginning with an intertitle which reads: "Jealousy". A delivery boy brings an order. The maid is nice to him. The butler intervenes because he is jealous. They fight. An intertitle reads: "He refuses to take her to the ball." The maid and the butler talk. He is angry. She is being nice. He shows her the tickets. Close-up of the ticket, which reads: "Annual Ball, Grand Palace Casino. Tickets One Dollar. Admit Gentleman and Lady." She asks if he will take her. He refuses. They both quickly slink off as the lady of the house walks by. After she passes, they continue to argue. Only the butler is visible in the shot, due to damage. the next intertitle says: "Getting squa . . ." The butler looks very surprised. It appers a statue came to life. He grabs his coat and hat and heads for the door. On the street outside, a police officer is approaching. He meets the butler and the woman dressed as a statue and stops them. Obviously not satisfied by their explanation of why she is barefoot and wrapped in a blanket, he begins to chase them.
