- 1. Material was received from Dawson City in 2 shipments - 506 reels in 1978 and 26 reels in 1980. Of these 389 reels, primarily of American fiction, were transferred to Library of Congress for conversion. Reference copies of some of these reels were returned to NFTSA.

- New York City - First German sea-wolf to actually invade New York Harbor is one with fangs and venom removed. UC-5 captured and tamed by the British, will rest in Central Park and help bond sales.
- France's Immortals honoured for bravery. No sex distinction in rewarding the spirit that has made France the idol of humanity.
- Cartoons. From the world's greatest newspapers (Darling, Buffalo Evening News; Blackman, Birmingham Age Herald; Darling, Boston Herald).
