Description:
- A treasure buried far below the wheat fields of Saskatchewan is attracting attention around the globe. The treasure is potash. Converted into fertilizer it promises increased food production in countries where the battle against starvation is being waged. This film documents the current potash boom on the Canadian Prairies. It takes the viewer into mnes three-quarters of a mile beneath the earth's surface and follows the production of potash and its transportation to market.
