Description:
- A Review of Events in England: London: Tom Mann, veteran socialist, is elected Secretary of the Almagamated Society of Engineers. There is a close-up of Mann as he addresses a large gathering on the occasion of his election to the presidency of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers. Mann stops speaking, glances at the camera, removes his hat, and smiles.
- Southampton, England: The last of Britain's delegates for the World Labor Congress leave for Washington. There is a low angle longshot of a very large passenger ship. Seen is the ship's bow. One group of delegates poses beside the gangplank. A second group poses in front of a smaller boat on the ship's deck.
- Hounslow: Harry Hawker bids Godspeed to Captain Matthews and Sergeant Kay on the start of their 13,000-mile flight to Australia. Footage of: the flyers being wished godspeed by Harry Hawker; one pilot on the ground, both men in the cockpit of their aircraft; a Sopwith Wallaby; and the aircraft on the take-off run. Matthews and Kay took off in October 1919 and six months later, on 17 April 1920, they crash landed on the island of Bali and abandoned the project.
- Westminster Abbey: The Lord High Chancellor and Judges attend Divine Service prior to the opening of the Law Courts. Footage shows: various shots of the robed High Chancellor and judges moving past the camera in a procession as a crowd looks on. They are shown entering the church.
- Santa Claus Parade in Montreal. Footage shows the Santa Claus parade for Christmas 1919 with Indians in war bonnets and on horseback, a marching band, Santa Claus on a float pulled by four white horses, Santa waving from a chimney and crowds of children. Crowds line the sidewalk.
- New York City: An intertitle introduces this story: "War on 'Reds' on! Tons of propaganda literature are seized by government agents in raids on radical centers." Footage shows three men, one a police officer, examining literature. There is a close-up of one publication entitled "The Revolutionary Age/Devoted to the International Communist Struggle/Saturday, July 19, 1919/Price 5ç." A cartoon shows a robot holding an ax, representing the League of Nations. The victim lies on the ground, apparently about to be decapitated. The next intertitle reads: "Arrested on a charge of criminal anarchy -- Benjamin Gitlow (left), former Socialist assemblyman, "Jim" Larkin, Irish labor agitator" and this is followed by footage of two men posing for the camera. Next is a medium shot of Chief Magistrate McAdoo, who is directing the round-up of "Reds" in New York City, speaking to the camera.
- Washington, D.C. Prince of Wales in the United States for the First Time. The Prince of Wales is welcomed by Vice- President Marshall. Footage shows: medium shot of the Prince in uniform and his retinue leaving the White House after an informal visit to the President at his bedside; a group of cars moving down the driveway at the White House; ; visiting the unfinished Lincoln Monument; awarding decorations to American soldiers; visiting wounded soldiers and shaking hands with his left hand; and the Prince delivering a speech from a dais.
- Launching the Shamrock IV. Footage of: the boat yard; the hull of the racing sloop; and the flooding of dry dock. Sir Thomans Lipton hopes to win the America Cup with this boat.
