- 1. Material was received from Dawson City in 2 shipments - 506 reels in 1978 and 26 reels in 1980. Of these 389 reels, primarily of American fiction, were transferred to Library of Congress for conversion. Reference copies of some of these reels were returned to NFTSA.

Description:
- In the preceeding episodes government plans and a locket containing chemical wafers to make the writing legible were entrusted to Captain Paine and "lost". Paine was convicted to life emprisonment. Pearl Dare, in love with Paine, discovers the secret meeting place of the Foreign Alliance. She is seen but eludes her pursuers. She boards the train taking Paine to prison. Bertha Bonn, former sweetheart of Major Brent and now an emissary of the Silent Menace, and T.O. Adams are also on the train. The train is wrecked, Paine is killed, and Pearl meets the Silent Menace. Following a struggle, the stolen plans fall into the hands of T.O. Adams.
- In this episode Pearl informs her father that Adams has the plans. Bertha Bonn who, as it follows, received the plans from Adams on orders from the Silent Menace, manages to lose them. But she finds her missing locket which she believes contains a picture of Major Brent. Brent, knowing the locket contains the wafers, tries to steal it. Bonn and Brent struggle for the locket. Pearl arrives and gets it and hands it over to her father. The tent they are in catches fire. <9mn 48s>
