  • 1. Material was received from Dawson City in 2 shipments - 506 reels in 1978 and 26 reels in 1980. Of these 389 reels, primarily of American fiction, were transferred to Library of Congress for conversion. Reference copies of some of these reels were returned to NFTSA.

  • Niagara Falls: At the Boundary Line Guards Protect the International Bridge. Military precautions safeguard Canada and the United States against disloyalists.   • London, England: English Railway Employees' Outing a Treat For the Soldiers. Athletic girls and kiddies furnish smokes and entertainment for Britain's fighters. Footage of little girls handing things out to seated soldiers. Shot of a sack race. Shot of a general race for the children. Close shots of two teams of women playing tug-of-war.
  • New York City: Future Tamers of Sea Wolves Leave For Ships. Recruits obtained at dryland battleship "Recruit" off for real work. Long shot of the battleship in the middle of the park. H.C. Quinby, American Defense Society, with Captain Adams on his left, expresses America's confidence in her boys. Shots of sailors and civilians cheering. Medium shot of Quinby speaking to the crowd. Captain Adams is beside him. Shot of the crowd applauding. A parade, led by a Navy band, followed by men in Navy uniform. New recuirts follow, carrying a banner which reads "We are Navy men and we have enlisted".
  • San Francisco, California: California Daredevils "Cut Loose". Try their "gol darndest" to enter the pearly gates via sure death routes. Shot of a cowboy riding a bull. Two other shots of cowboys riding bulls, and crowd seated on bleachers in the background. Shot of a cowboy being thrown from a horse.
  • Philadelphia, Pa: Girl Soldiers Honour Guard for Japanese Commission. On visit to Quaker city famous orientals see modern liberty goddesses. Shot of honor guard, at attention. The mission leaves after viewing the Liberty Bell at Independence Hall. Shot of various dignitaries including the Japanese visitors, emerging from a building. Posed shot of the group. Intertitles read "Baron Ishii" and "Japan and America are United for Victory". The Baron poses for the camera and takes off his top hat. There are two shots of the female honor guard, and a female band, in a parade.
  • Coney Island, New York: Looking into the Heart of a Nation's Playground. Millions of grown visitors become children at Coney Island's Mardi Gras. High angle shot of a parade, with sailors and four floats.
  • New York City: New York's "Fighting Dozen" Happy to Be Started. On way to Spartanburg, S.C., on first leg of journey to France. 12th New York Thrills Millions. Squadron "A" Honor Escort. Highi angle shot of soldiers on horseback, on foot, and a military band parade through street. Through Columbus Circle they wind their way. Continuation of the parade, with soldiers in formation on foot. As the soldiers continue to march on, a police officer escorts a woman out to her son, who is marching. The parade moves past the camera location. Street-level shot of the parade, as it continues. Panning shot up to the spires of St. Patrick's Cathedral, where an American flag flies.
