Description:
- Farce-comedy. King Ambrose is lonely. He summons all the pretty girls in the kingdom so he can choose a wife. He selects a comely serving wench. As the girl dresses, Robin, who is looking for his lost sweetheart, fires an arrow with a message into her room asking her to fly with him. The King enters his wife's room and gets a second arrow in the rear. While he reads the note, the Queen runs away with Robin. The King pursues. A snake falls from a tree. The King casts it aside and it falls on the shoulders of the Queen who is hiding nearby. Robin, terrified of snakes, is paralysed with fright. The Queen, disgusted, returns with the King. Robin and an outcast throw a bomb into the throne room. The King throws it back. In comes the bomb again. The King, still holding the smoking bomb, appears at the elbow of the bomb thrower. <9mn 35s>
