- 1. Material was received from Dawson City in 2 shipments - 506 reels in 1978 and 26 reels in 1980. Of these 389 reels, primarily of American fiction, were transferred to Library of Congress for conversion. Reference copies of some of these reels were returned to NFTSA.

Description:
- Shoreditch, England. Labour Council Distributes Food to Unemployed in Shoreditch, England. More than 1,200 men and women are fed because of the scarcity of jobs. Footage of people being given bread, rabbitand other foodstuffs.
- Molsey, England: Fishes for the Thames! This is about the annual netting of reservoirs to restock the Thames River at Molsey, England. Shots from three angles show men pulling large fishing nets out of the water. The fish in the net are picked up in a small net.
- Durham, England: Installation of Dr. Hensley Henson as Bishop of Durham, England. A procession of high church officials is seen taking part in the installation of the new bishop of Durham. They walk down a sunlit hallway. There is a medium shot of Dr. Henson.
- Steeplejack Climbs Church Spire in Gadalming, England. In a daring prank, a man climbs a church spire, just to retrieve a pocket handkerchief he left there while making repairs, while a crowd waits below. Footage shows: the top of the church spire; the man retrieving the handkerchief; the man beginning the climb down; the view from ground level as he reaches the roof of the church and a medium shot of the climber as he is congratulated at the base of the church.
- St. Lawrence River: Buoys from the St. Lawrence are removed at the end of the navigation season. The light buoys are hauled onto the vessel Shamrock with the help of a winch. A large buoy is hauled out of the water. It is replaced with a small cone. Temporary steel buoys are substituted for the gas buoys to guide the last ships. Footage shows the work hauling the buoys on board the ship. Footage shot from on board the Shamrock shows another shot of a large buoy being lifted and a smaller one being lowered. From the ship, there is a shot of the small buoy being pushed overboard. The Shamrock returns to the wharf laden with buoys. There are two shots of the Shamrock coming into port. It hauls a raft covered with buoys. Next is a longshot showing many buoys already on the dock.
- Flashes of the Past. The Mexican Crisis of 1916. In 1914, President Carranza came to power and Mexico City went wild with joy. There is a high angle shot of large crowds in the streets of Mexico City, to welcome President Carranza to power in 1914. Officials are in cars and there are banners, including a close-up of a banner which reads "La Revolucion No Transige Con Los Clericales. El Clero Dice [this part illegible]eblas, La Libertad Dice Luz." On 9 March 1916, the rifles of Pancho Villa's bandits killed American citizens in the border town of Columbus, New Mexico, leaving ruin in their wake. Footage shows men looking at the rubble of a building, a shot of dead animals in a field, and bullet holes in glass. In retaliation for the attack on Columbus, an American expedition of 6,000 men marches into Mexico on 15 March 1916, to round up the guilty. There are several shots of a long column of mounted soldiers moving through a semi-arid landscape. General Pershing, a Brigadier-General at that time, was in charge of the expedition and is shown in a medium shot, in a rotunda, saluting. There is a longer shot of the troops parading by. The final shot is of troops marching, preceded by the intertitle "On the trail home . . . ".
- St. Louis, Missouri: Blossoms from Nature's Garden of the Orient! Rare and beautiful blooms are displayed at the St. Louis Chrysanthemum Show. People stroll through the displays of flowers which include a unique Japanese type. There is a close-up of two flowers, one a chrysanthemum, and a shot of a larger group of mums.
- Duxbury, Massachusetts: 62 people are saved when the U.S. mine-sweeper Swan runs ashore during a gale along storm-tossed New England coast. There is a freeze-frame of a ship, showing number 34 on the bow. Members of the coast guard reach the ship by breeches buoy to direct the rescue work. Two freeze-frames show men using the breeches buoy to reach the ship, as people watch from the shore.
- Geneva, Switzerland: The Assembly of the League of Nations holds its first meeting with 41 nations represented. There is a freeze-frame view of Geneva, the headquarters of the League.
