- 1. Material was received from Dawson City in 2 shipments - 506 reels in 1978 and 26 reels in 1980. Of these 389 reels, primarily of American fiction, were transferred to Library of Congress for conversion. Reference copies of some of these reels were returned to NFTSA.

- Canadian Pacers are Sold in England. Canadian horses fetch high prices at the first sale of imported horses in Edgeware, England. A few show how fast they can travel. Shown is a large group of men at a track, watching as a series of horses harnessed to sulkies race by, showing off speed.
- Foundation Stone Laid for Addison House. Dr. Addison, Minister of Health, lays the foundation stone for a future block of 120 flats in London. Britain is rapidly solving its housing problem. The block is called Addison House. Footage shows: various dignitaries walking around a construction site.
- Banff, Alberta: "Zero weather holds no terrors for these hardy swimmers," states an intertitle for this newsreel story about a swimming race at the Banff Winter Carnival. Footage shows races held in a heated outdoor pool. First shown is the men's 75-yard race, with a long shot of two lengths of the race and spectators wearing heavy coats. Next is the women's 25-yard dash, showing a long shot of half a length, from the same angle. Finally, there is footage of the 50-yard back stroke for boys.
- Trappers Reap Harvest of Furs. Newsreel story from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. An intertitlte reads "Northern Ontario yields immense fur catch this season -- trappers reap big harvest as a result of excellent quality of skins. A typical trapper's paradise". The footage shows: a panning shot of a wintry forest landscape; showshoes and toboggan; and a large pile of pelts of silver fox and beaver. An intertitle states that the largest beaver caught in Northern Ontario this season, was caught by a 12-year-old boy, and also $2,500 worth of silver fox. A man holds one beaver pelt and two silver fox pelts. Behind him, a sign reads "Trunks - Valises -- A. Portnoy & Co., Highest Prices, Hides and Furs, 250".
- Lynch Mob Storms Court in Lexington, Kentucky. Intertitles explain that "Pathé News achieves remarkable "scoop" as ts cameraman secures exclusive pictures of the actual storming of court house by mob in effort to lynch prisoner." and "Thousands of spectators wait from early morning at roped-off 'dead line', to witness trail of negro, charged with murder". The footage shows: a high-angle shot and street-evel shot of a large crowd in the street awaiting a verdict. An intertitle states "Every one is searched for weapons before entering court-house." Men are shown being searched as they cross the rope. An intertitle says that militia were given a shoot to kill order, should anyone attempt violent means of breaking into the court or jail. There is a high angle longshot of the court house, panning towards a large crowd in the street. Medium shot of militia standing in front of the court house with machine guns at the ready. Soldiers with drawn automatics tryito restrain the crowd which grows violent and manages to break through, An intertitle reads "Let's get him! -- the cry of the infuriated mob as it breaks through the 'dead line'". There is a long shot of men moving past the roped off area, toward the court house. An intertitle explains that "orders are obeyed . . . and six lives pay the price of taking the law into their own hands". Six bodies of men shot by soldiers are shown. The crowd is in the background, once more behind the rope. Police carry away a man. The county is placed under martial law. There is a high angle shot of a city street, full of soldiers and equipment. The commanding officer, Brigadier General F.C. Marshall, is shown in close-up.
- South Hadley, Massachusetts: Mount Holyoke Girls Make Snow Mascot. Girls of Mount Holyoke College build a large teddy bear mascot out of snow for their winter carnival. One parka bears the date 1923. There is a shot of a procession of students in costumes, carrying signs supporting the Endowment Fund. Women ski down a gentle slope.
- Snow Storm Halts Traffic in New York City. New York suffers the worst traffic tie-up in many years as a result of a snow storm. Trucks are held up for 12 days as snow and ice block street crossings. Shown are stalled automobiles; horse-drawn vehicles stuck in the crowded street; a truck stopped in the snow; a horse unable to get traction on the ice puddles; horse-drawn carts and cars driving on the sidewalk; firemen using a high-pressure hose to try to break up mounds of ice and snow; and four freeze-frames showing: carts on slushy streets; men trying to push out a truck; and a man holding up a sign reading "You took away our Booze, why not take away the snow?".
- As Prohibition Reaches the Private Cellar. Animated drawings by Bert Green, with acknowledgement to Fruch, on the subject of a man coping with the rigours of Prohibition. It shows: a man in the cellar, taking a bottle out of the furnace, stating "That's Real Stuff!". A voice from upstairs calls him "Henry!". He hides the bottle behind his back, as his wife enters the cellar. She says: "Didn't I tell you to leave strong drink alone!" She takes the bottle away and leaves. He looks dejected. Next, the man is at a table, with a ouija board. He asks it: "Where did my wife put that bottle, Ouija?" The ouija board answers: "In" [There is no real answer.]
